Ace Frehley Signature

When most people think about Kiss and Washburn, they think of Paul Stanley and his signature model. However, many people don't know that Ace Frehley endorsed Washburn for a short time in 1987. The guitar featured a radical design and the Washburn Wonderbar tremolo. The fretboard was made out of carbonite (like ebonol -- plastic that is suppose to mimic ebony).
The AF40 did not last very long, and neither did Ace Frehley endorsing Washburn. Today, the Washburn AF signature can be seen every now and then on ebay, and they usually go for a high price. Word has it that they were Korean made, but that is not confirmed.
