Force Series (G Series)

The Force Series are Stratocaster look-alikes. There are three basic different generations of the Force Series. The first series (Force 2, Force 3, Force 6, Force 30, Force 31, and Force 32) have the most resemblance to a Strat with a pickguard and a Strat-style headstock. The Force 2, 3, and 6 were the entry-level models, and the Force 30, 31, and 32 were higher end. This first series was roughly produced between 1983 and 1984. In 1985, a new line of Force models were introduced (G5V, G10V, and G20V), and they featured more original appointments with no pickguard, and a hockey stick-style headstock. These were produced approx. until 1986. The third series of Force guitars debuted around mid-1986. Models G23 and G40V are rumored to have existed, but they don't appear in any catalog. In the 1987 catalog, the full line of the new Force guitars were listed and they had a pointy Jackson-style headstock and the only resemblance to a Strat was the body shape. These models included a G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G8, G15, and G Junior. This series was replaced by the KC series in 1989.

Wayne from "Wayne's World" was notorious for having his G-20 with a pointy headstock. This was a marketing ploy from Washburn, and they received one of their highest quarterly earnings during that timeframe. Mike Myers still uses the guitar to this day whenever doing Wayne's World sketches.

There was also the G-35K and G-35K between 1984/1985 which were transitional peices. They had a Kahler trem with the G series body and A series headstock.
